So am a Melbourne based wargamer.  Member of the Monday Knights wargaming club, who meet, you guessed it, every Monday night in Hawthorn. Details of the club can be found at

http://www.mondayknights.org.au/about/

I started wargaming at 14, a dark age before mobile phones and the internet.  When wargames were played  on the floor and a stack of books made a hill and some green felt 'borrowed' from mums knitting collection created a forest.  Finding other gamers was not an easy accomplishment.  Probing the local libraries for teenagers reading a certain type of novel and asking if they 'roll dice with toys' was nowhere near as effective as you might think.

University and the internet made life so much brighter as wargamers came out of their basements and into the light.  Stores started to have table space for the public to throw down their miniatures and fight it out (by throw down, I mean place carefully).

I think we may be in a golden age of wargaming.  I hope you are getting the chance to enjoy it!

I update the battle reports when they occur, can be a touch sporadic.  Subscribe and you get an email when I put up a new one.  Then you will never miss out on hearing about my tactical brilliance told with witty repartee (or 400 words on how he dice hate me...).

Thanks for subscribing!
